This May, we are excited to spotlight Michelle as our Featured Caregiver!
Dedicated Caregiver Serving the Mon Valley Community
Michelle has been a caregiver with Sunny Days Mon Valley for one year. She lives in Monongahela with her husband, Keith, of 26 years, and their daughter. Michelle brings kindness, patience, and compassion to every client she serves.
Michelle’s favorite food is spaghetti, her favorite movie is Pirates of the Caribbean, and she enjoys listening to country music. A fun fact about Michelle is that she enjoys running RC cars with her husband. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her family.
Why Michelle Loves Caregiving
Michelle’s favorite part about being a caregiver is being able to help others and provide support to those who need it most.
When asked what caregiving means to her, Michelle shared:
“It means a lot to be able to be there for people who are unable to care for themselves.”
Her advice to new caregivers is simple but important:
- Be patient with your clients
- Lead with compassion and understanding
- Take time to build meaningful relationships
One of Michelle’s favorite memories with a client is sharing laughter together and enjoying their wonderful sense of humor.
