Simple Intake Process for Senior Home Care
Whether you’re seeking home care for an elderly parent who lives far away, or you’re a family member who needs a break through in-home respite care, we will make your introduction to in-home care as smooth as possible. You’ll benefit from our simple intake process that caters to you.
- 3-day call-to-care response time
- Same-day response for care emergencies
- In-home consultation and needs assessment
- Manager-observed first care session
In addition to in-home care for seniors, we aid people with many types of needs, including those with disabilities and those who need short-term help during injury recovery. Talk with us about your situation, and our experienced team can guide you to the right care solution for you and your loved ones.
Home Care Begins With In-Home Assessment
To start the care relationship, we connect with every client through a free in-home needs assessment. During this on-site consultation, a local Sunny Days field manager will visit your home to discuss what kind of care you need. It might be as simple as helping with bathing and light meal preparation for a spouse, ensuring your elderly father has help when moving about the house. We will assign a caregiver who can handle the physical demands associated with your care, which may require using a lift to move you or your loved one from a bed to a chair, for example.
During the in-home needs assessment, our field managers guide you through an extensive questionnaire that helps spell out your needs, preferences, hobbies and cultural considerations, as well as anything else you think is important for us to know in connecting you with the best possible care.
Our field manager will also walk around your home looking for potential hazards such as cords, throw rugs and clutter, and make recommendations to enhance the safety and comfort of the client and caregiver.
