Dedicated Caregiver Serving Southwestern Pennsylvania
Doris has been a caregiver with Sunny Days Southwestern PA for eight years. Born and raised in Bentleyville, PA, she still proudly calls it home today. Doris has a son, Adrian, and two beloved dogs, Cardier and Chanel, who keep her company outside of work.
A Few Fun Facts About Doris
Doris’s favorite food is filet mignon, her favorite movie is One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and she enjoys listening to K-LOVE. A fun fact about Doris is that she loves making people laugh and lives each day with the goal of helping others. When she’s not working, she enjoys taking care of her dogs and spending quality time with her son.
Why Doris Loves Caregiving
Doris’s favorite part about being a caregiver is seeing her clients smile and knowing she has made a difference in their day. She especially enjoys cooking for her clients and helping them feel cared for and comfortable. When asked what caregiving means to her, Doris shared:
“Everything. Helping them and going above and beyond.”
Her advice to new caregivers is simple but meaningful:
“Treat your patients like you would want to be treated.”
One of Doris’s favorite memories with a client was taking them fishing and creating a special experience they could enjoy together.
